THE GITAUS Strategy — Complete Logic
An institutional order flow strategy that captures liquidity sweeps during London and New York killzones. Based on Smart Money Concepts (SMC) — the same methods used by institutional traders to manipulate retail stop losses.
Core Concepts
Asian Range
The Asian session (19:00–00:00 NY) creates a well-defined price range. Retail traders place stops above/below this range. Smart money targets these stops as liquidity.
Liquidity Sweep (Stop Hunt)
Price breaks above Asian high or below Asian low to trigger stop losses, then reverses. This is the trap — retail gets stopped out, smart money enters the real move.
H4 Bias (Trend Filter)
The H4 candle direction determines trade direction. We only trade WITH the higher timeframe trend. No counter-trend entries.
Killzone Timing
Entries only during institutional trading hours — London open (02:00–05:00 NY) or New York open (07:00–10:00 NY). Outside these windows, no signals are taken.
Entry Rules (Detailed)
LONG Entry — All conditions must be true:
- Asian session has ended and range is locked (high and low recorded)
- H4 candle is BULLISH (close > open)
- Current session is London or New York killzone
- Current candle low dips BELOW Asian low (sweep)
- Current candle closes ABOVE Asian low (reclaim)
- No position is currently open
SHORT Entry — All conditions must be true:
- Asian session has ended and range is locked (high and low recorded)
- H4 candle is BEARISH (close < open)
- Current session is London or New York killzone
- Current candle high spikes ABOVE Asian high (sweep)
- Current candle closes BELOW Asian high (reclaim)
- No position is currently open
Exit Logic
Time-Based Exit
Close after 20 M15 bars = 5 hours. This is the winning configuration. Removes emotion and avoids overthinking exits.
Opposite Signal Exit
Close when opposite hot zone signal fires. Tested but less profitable than time exit.
H1 Structure Break
Exit on H1 break of structure. Added complexity without improving results.
Disabled Filters (Tested & Removed)
Fair Value Gap (FVG)
Requires price to be in a 3-candle imbalance gap. Added too many filters, reduced trades without improving win rate.
Order Block (OB)
Requires last opposing candle before impulse move. Similar to FVG — over-filtered the strategy.
H1 Break of Structure
Requires H1 to confirm directional shift. Delayed entries and missed good setups.
